Lake Manyara is a wonderfully scenic park, located on the way to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Famous for the iconic tree-climbing lions, the only kind of their species in the world. In addition to the lions the lake is home to the largest baboons and significant herds of elephants in the world.

It also offers the perfect Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and visitors to the lake observe 100 of these in one day. The shores of the lake are adorned with pink flamingos, as you tour around the lake, be sure to see large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Maasai giraffe and impala roam the lake shores and the valley slopes.
