7 - 8 Days

The so called “Coca-cola” route is the most used route since it only requires 7 to 8 days to reach the Uhuru Peak. For these visitors who need to be accompanied with friends and fellow climbers this route is the best for you. Advantage in this route first; few stations, secondly the use of Huts where they sell soft drinks too. This route is most popular during the month of July to September and December to March.

Your day-to-day- breakdown of this trip

Day 1

Arrival

Arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport where you will meet our representative who will take you to the hotel where you will receive all essentials including the internet, later during dinner our manager will have a quick chart and briefing about Climbing to Mount Kilimanjaro and make sure you’re ready.

Day 2

Mandara

Hiking from Marangu Gate (1800 M) to Mandara Huts (2743 M)

Our guide will arrive at the hotel in the morning to peak you with vehicle heading to Marangu gate. Here will be doing the checkup of permits and registration as formalities then you will be introduced to our fellow mountain climbers crew who will be supporting you in carrying the luggage, the group will start walking through a bit of rainforest with game play of taking photos of different animals and insects along the way, reach at Kisambioni Picnic site worth to have a great lunch and carry on to Mandara Hut where will sleep over. But since it’s still early you will enjoy the view at east part see Mawenzi Peak and Maundi Crater.

Day 3

Horombo

Hiking from Mandara Hut (2743 M) to Horombo Hut (3720)

After breakfast get ready for 15 Km climbing through Moorland of Kilimanjaro Mountain, passing through rocks and desert with small trees heading to Kambi ya Tabu site for soft drinks and lunch that’s why this route got the nickname as “coca cola route” because each stop there is a picnic stop to buy soft drinks. Hustle continues until evening at Horombo Hut.

Day 4

Kibo

Hiking from Horombo Hut (3720 M) to Kibo Hut (4750 M)

On this day nothing much to worry about, just grab you morning breakfast then start you day heading to Kibo Hut, on our way will pass the Mawenzi Peak just a little steep since we are keep moving to the top just hiking slowly and keep moving. If the sky is clear no clouds will be able to view the two volcanic Peaks Mawenzi and Kibo.

Day 5

Uhuru

Hiking from Kibo Hut (4,750 M) to Uhuru Peak (5,895 M)

Unlike other routes, remain with 9 to 12 hours to the summit, taking enough water the hiking will start in the midnight so that we can reach at the top early, nothing serious rather than altitude fever. After reach Uhuru Peak will be your final stage of writing your story, will stay there for 2 hours then depart to Horombo Hut.

Day 6

Marangu Gate

Descent from Uhorombo Hut to Marangu Gate

At this part we are make our way back to the main gate of Marangu, a celebration part after at the main gate and receiving your certificate then provide you a transport where they will take you back to the hotel.

Day 7

Departure

After a nice breakfast, our car will be ready to transfer you to the Airport ready to departure.
